Welcome to Loatlands Nursery Unit

Loatlands Nursery is part of Loatlands Primary School and offers part-time places to young children for the year before they start a reception class. We cater for 78 local children, aged 3 and 4 years,who will move on to various local schools. The children are offered 5 morning places or 5 afternoon places a week during school term times sessions. Morning and afternoon session are identical and are offered on a first come first served basis.

The Nursery offers a wide range of activities every day. We encourage children to use story books and factual books by themselves and with adults.

Children have opportunies to draw and write. Qualified staff are always on hand to help children develop their skills. 

We offer a variety of role play areas both inside and outdoors, where children can enjoy acting out roles and playing with their friends.

Building with construction kits help children learn to fix things together, follow instructions, find out about space and shape and stimulate their imagination.

The Nursery offers a variety of outdoor settings where children can expolre the natural world and improve their physical skills by climbing, riding tricycles or playing ball.
