Nursery Home Page

Loatlands Nursery is a purpose built educational nursery for 3 and 4 year olds. Pupils are offered five morning or five afternoon sessions which are fully funded by a government grant. The Nursery is staffed by qualified teachers and nursery nurses and recently recieved an outstanding Ofsted report.   We have a little woodland that the children can explore safely.

  We have a big covered area where children can run and climb in all weathers.

  Children can choose from a wide range of activites which are carefully planned to meet their needs.

  We have 2 computers and an interactive whiteboard.

  We encourage children to choose their own resources and to work independently. Highly qualified staff are always around to help the children and to teach them the skills they need.

  The activities on offer everyday are designed to help children develop at their own rate.

 The activities cover all six areas of learning which are recommended for the Foundation Stage. These areas cover :

Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development,

Communication, Langauge and Literacy, Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy ,

Knowledge and Understanding of the World. and Creative Development.

  The Nursery is inspected by Ofsted and was given OUTSTANDING in all areas at the last inspection. The staff have also taken part in an additional project called Effective Early Learning and have been awarded the highest level of accreditation.
